David Eugene Johnson, 59, of Birdseye, Indiana, passed away at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 4:24 p.m. He was born on November 26, 1952 at Indian Springs, Indiana to Harold Eugene and Vivian Wilson Johnson. He was employed at Jasper Engines & Transmissions and was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. David was an avid NASCAR fan and greatly loved his dogs Peanut and Sassy. Visitation will be from 11:00 am. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Shoals American Legion Post #61 will accord military rites.
