Owen L. Cosby, 86, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Stonebridge Health Campus, Bedford. Born July 17, 1935, in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of Everett and Cornelia (Sanders) Cosby. He married Joyce Brummett on March 26, 1955, and she survives. Owen was a graduate of Bloomington High School, member of the Bloomington FOP, retired Police Chief with Bloomington Police Department after 20 years. He was of the Assembly of God faith. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce; three sons, Scott Cosby, Owen (Imogene) Cosby II, and Tom (Janet) Cosby; one daughter, Kathy Moore; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters. Graveside Services for Owen L. Cosby will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Bloomington at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
