Ikerd, 48, of Bedford, died Sunday, January 1, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. at his residence.Born May 31, 1963 in Bedford, he was the son of Frank and Janet Helton Ikerd.He was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School. He was previously employed with the Bedford Street Department.Surviving are his mother, Janet Ikerd of Bedford, two brothers, Steven Debbie Ikerd and Jeff Ikerd, both of Bedford; and one sister, Sandy Alan Mills of Bedford, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father.Funeral service will be on Friday, January 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Reno Bates officiating.
