Barbara Jean Hall, 93, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the I.U. Health Paoli Hospital. Born March 15, 1930, she was the daughter of John and Lora (Hackler) Kern. She married Robert Kenneth Hall on September 3, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2012.Barbara was the Valedictorian of the Fayetteville High School Class of 1948. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Eastern Star, and was an avid bingo player. She loved fishing and gardening as well as spending time with her family.Surviving to cherish the memory of Barbara are her children, Robert K. Hall II, Kathy J. (Bill) Jones and Dr. Daniel L. (Kim) Hall; Grandchildren, Shannon (Dr. Joey) Spires, Dr. Nathan (Holly) Hall, Lauren (Brian) Simpson, Dr. Baron (Erica) Hall, Robert K. Hall III, John (Lindsey) Hall, Dr. Tyson (Tia) Medlock, Tanner (Pattaraysea) Medlock, Dr. Tate Medlock, Eric (Hollie) Jones, Katie Jones, Jonathon Jones, Aaron Jones, Tia Jones, Trey Jones and T. J. Jones; and 20 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Clara Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lora Kern; her husband, Robert; brothers, Ray (Blanch) Kern, Carl (Catherine) Kern; Sisters, Myrtle Rose Kern, Edith Hays, Ina (Soap) Sutherlin, and Mary (Curt) Burch.
