Charlotte Marie Melvin, 72, of Bedford, passed away October 28, 2021 at Mitchell Manor. She was born August 14, 1949 to Billy Ray and Alice Marie Massey Gregory. She married Ralph Melvin on June 6, 1996 and he survives.Charlotte grew up in Tennessee and Indianapolis, graduating high school in Indianapolis. She was a cook, working at the Padanaram Valley and different sororities.Surviving to cherish Charlottes memory are her husband, Ralph; her children, Shawn Vincz, Camalot Wright, Godson Wright, Nina Suchanek and Viking Wright; stepdaughter, Shalana Melvin; her mother, Alice Gregory; 16 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Charlotte is preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Gregory.Friends may gather with Charlottes family from 12:00 pm until service time at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Padanaram. Burial will follow at Holy Ground Cemetery.
