Cheryl S. Fleming, 71, of Bedford, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at Our Hospice of Columbus. She was born August 28, 1952, in Bedford, to Jerry Franklin and Carol Sue (Sons) Melvin. Cheryl was a high school graduate, a seamstress and had worked for JoAnn Fabrics in Bedford and Bloomington. Surviving to cherish Cheryls memory is her father, Jerry (Ruth) Melvin of Mitchell; two sons, Ken (Michelle) Utley of Oakland, TN and Robert (Julie) Utley of Belton, TX; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three brothers, Jerry Dennis Melvin, Randy Melvin and Charlie Melvin. Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Sue Melvin; and her husband, Chuck Fleming. Per Cheryls wishes, there will be no services.
