Eric W. Orten, age 77, long-time resident of Syracuse, Indiana, passed away at Core Nursing Home in Bedford. He was born April 7, 1943 in Kentucky to Ernest and Mammie Orten. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as an auto mechanic. Surviving to cherish Erics memory are his daughters, Rhonda Waggoner, Carolyn Rollins and Rebecca Larkin; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Gilkey; and one half-brother, Timothy Orten. Eric was preceded in death by his parents; three daughters, Jennifer Garza and two in infancy; two brothers, Harold Orten and Jerry Orten; and two sisters, Martha Wellman and Betty Graff.Cremation was chosen and there will be no further services at this time.
