Freda "Kay" Hutchens, 66, of Oolitic, IN, passed from this life at 12:30pm on December 31, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born in Whitesburg, KY on March 8, 1954 to Luther Hampton and Alpha Gaye Diamond.Kay was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol Triplett; brother, Lowell "Delbert" Baker; son, Toby Luther Hutchens; and a great grandchild.Kay is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gordon Lee Hutchens; son, Jeremy Shane (Ashley) Hutchens; daughter, Kimberly Diana (Chris) Atkins; grandchildren that she loved immensely, Dylan Andrew Wilson, Dakota Shane (Hope) Hutchens, Alexis Nicole Atkins, Derek Noah (Kenzie) Hutchens, Jazzmine Elizabeth (Dillon) Atkins, Joycelynn Taylor Hutchens, Zachary Levi (Brea) Atkins, Jeremy Keaton Hutchens, Luke Hunter Atkins; sisters, Jewell Miles of Michigan, Dana Gammon of Shoals, Billie Ball of Eckerty; brother Randall Baker of Huntingburg; and several nieces and nephews. Kay loved her God, family, and gospel music.Cremation was chosen with no services.
