George Lowell "Buddy" Goodin, 71, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.Born August 18, 1947, in Bedford, he was the son of Edgar and Kathryn (Bullock) Goodin.He married Dinah Hammond on October 14, 2006 and she survives.He was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1965 and attended Indiana State University for 2 years. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Gillen Post #33.Buddy retired from North Lawrence Community Schools as the Director of Transportation.Surviving are his wife, Dinah Goodin; step-daughter, Olivia (Tommy) Zajac; two grandsons, Vincent and Henry Zajac; siblings, Michael (Bonnie) Goodin, Tim Goodin, Pat (Cathy) Goodin, Mary (Bob) Fish, and Susan (David) Parker; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha Hudson; sister-in-law, Cindy Goodin; and one step-son, James Hammond Trinkle.Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Orleans.
