Geraldine
Pfeiffer
Nov 23, 1951 — Sep 7, 2026
Geraldine "Gerry" Pfeiffer went peacefully home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 7, 2026, at 3:24 p.m., surrounded by the love of her family. She was the daughter of the late John and Virginia Piscitelli.
Gerry was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, on November 23, 1951. She graduated from Dunellen High School. After high school, Gerry worked for her family's business, JVee Sub Shop, for over 25 years. During that time, Gerry met and married the love of her life, Philip, who preceded her in death. Together, they raised their daughter, Phyllis, in Washington, New Jersey. During her time at JVee's, Gerry met many wonderful people whom, to this day, she considered family. She often spoke of the amazing memories she made during her time there and of the people who became so special to her.
In 1995, Gerry and Phil moved to Indiana and started a telecommunications business, Phedcomm. Gerry and Phil ran the business for 26 years until Phil's passing. Afterward, Gerry continued running the business with her daughter and son-in-law, Royce, until her death. Gerry was very proud of the legacy she and Phil had created, and their children hope to continue that legacy in their honor.
Gerry was a kind soul and never turned anyone away. She would give you her last penny or the shirt off her back if she knew someone was in need. People always seemed to gravitate toward her in times of need, and Gerry would always find the words to make the world not seem quite so bad. On the other side, Gerry was also very protective of her family. She would not tolerate any disrespect when it came to them, especially her grandson, Kadon, who was her entire world. She was a tiny woman, but larger than life, especially if poked. Those who really knew her will miss her sense of humor, her political rants, her caring nature, her unconditional love for those she cared for, her signature hair, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome, but mostly, they will miss her presence in this world.
Geraldine was Catholic. She believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and we can take comfort in knowing she is now in Heaven, dancing with the angels and reunited with her husband, whom she dearly missed.
Gerry was preceded in death by her loving husband, Philip L. Pfeiffer; her parents, John and Virginia Piscitelli; a sister, Virginia Erdek; a brother, Albert Gitto; and three angel grandbabies.
Those she left behind heartbroken include her daughter, Phyllis Keeling; son-in-law, Royce Keeling Jr.; grandson, her pride and joy, Kadon Keeling; her beloved sister, Marlene Jurkivo; her three nephews, who were like her sons, Joseph Jurkivo and his wife, Rosalia, Michael Concilio and his wife, Jacquelyn, and Ryan Concilio; great-nieces and great-nephews, Joseph, Gianna, and Bianca Jurkivo, Ellianna and Luke Concilio, and Tyler, Mia, and Callie Concilio; her longest and dearest friends, Lila Vitale, Linda Swift, and Anita Wuest; along with so many cousins, second cousins, friends who were family, and others who loved her.
"Mommie, I will miss you for the rest of my life. I know you will watch over us, and we will do our best to make you proud. I love you. See you in a minute, and we'll head to the casino. Just don't tell Dad and Royce."
Gerry requested cremation with no services, as she always said, "If people don't want to see me when I'm alive, they don't need to see me when I'm dead." Her daughter will honor these wishes but will be having a celebration of life sometime next year in New Jersey, where Gerry and Phil will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers or cards, please send loving thoughts to the family or make a charitable donation of your choice in her remembrance.
Cremation services were provided by Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes.
Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes of Bedford is honored to have been entrusted with the care and services for Geraldine and her family.
