Janice "Sue" Steup, 81, of Greenfield previously of Bedford, passed away on February 4, 2020 at her residence. Born January 18, 1939 in Mitchell, Indiana, she was the daughter of Clayton and Helen (Tow) Johnson. She married Gene Craft in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2016. She then married Don Steup in 1996 and he preceded her in death September 8, 2014. Sue was a Mitchell High School graduate, Class of 1957 and attended Tulip Street Christian Church in Mitchell. She retired from Mitchell Telephone office before she began working for Clerk of Courts in Mitchell for 12 years, then she later retired from Bedford Medical Center/Edgewood Clinic. Surviving are her son, Mark Craft of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Carri A. (Kyle) Howard of Cincinnati, Emily E. (Brandon) Herbert of Newcastle, Austin C. Craft of Greenfield; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, siblings, Wanda Brock, Juanita Pemberton, Ola Ann Agan and Thomas Tow. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Steve Rayburn officiating. Burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour on February 7, 2020 at the funeral home.
