John "Russ" Daulton, age 92, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Bedford. Born in Jackson County, he was the son of John and Mary (Smith) Daulton. He married May Maxine Collier on June 27, 1949 and she preceded him in death on May 21, 2015. Russ was a welder and a tinkerer. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Russ loved hunting, gardening, cookies and working on electronics. He also enjoyed spending time on his property in Jackson County. Surviving to cherish Russ memory are his son-in-law, Robert Hawkins; grandchild, Crystal Dawn (Anon) Goins; four great grandchildren, Dakota and Micah Potter and Ellison and Harrison Goins.Russ was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two daughters, Brenda Hawkins and Bonnie Daulton-Cook; one granddaughter, Ericka Cook; five brothers, Robert, Ralph, Raymond, Richard and Frank Daulton; and one sister, Virginia Freed.Private services will be held Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford.
