Joshua LeRoy Blackwell, 38, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born March 6, 1986, he was the son of Cecil Blackwell and Jeannie Sykes. He married Alexis Greene December 19, 2019 and she survives. Joshua was a graduate of the Mitchell High School and enjoyed art and playing the guitar. Surviving to cherish the memory of Joshua is his wife, Alexis; his children, Jordie, Joleigh, and Alexie Blackwell and Theodore Greene; his parents, Cecil Blackwell and Jeannie Sykes; and siblings, T.J. Blackwell and Willie Blackwell. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Nate Sykes.A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Community Concourse, 14th and H Streets in Bedford.
