Linda Gail Nelson, 63, of Bedford, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at IU Health Hospice in Bloomington.Born August 20, 1956 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of James Daniel and Lorena (Raines) New.Linda attended Edgewood High School and received her Associates Degree in Business from Oakland City University. Linda worked at Stone Belt as a Direct Support Professional. She was a member of Chapel Hill House of Prayer in Monroe County.Surviving are her parents, James Daniel and Lorena New; daughter, Katrina Ramey; grandchildren, Derrick Ramey, Erastata Ramey, Cierra Ramey, Lacie Nelson Lillard, Levi Luttrell, Keiana Fender, Matthew Fender; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Betty) New, Theresa (Darrell) Isaacs, Danny (Jeanne) New; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her son, David Nelson and a granddaughter, Shayla Nelson.Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Bill Edwards officiating. Burial to follow at House of Prayer Cemetery in Fayetteville.
