June 10, 1916 - September 21, 2010 Mae I. Tanksley, 94, of Bedford, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 2:15 a.m. at Core Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bedford. She was born on June 10, 1916, the daughter of John and Debbie Martin Younger. She married Dee L. Ragsdale on April 12, 1939 in Bedford; and he preceded her in death on October 30, 1950. She was a retired assembler with GM Powertrain and also a homemaker. She had attended Shawswick Schools. She was a member of the Leatherwood Christian Church and the UAW #440. Surviving are her son, David Ragsdale of Newhall, California; several grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Perry of Phoenix, Arizona; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Howard Ragsdale in 1986; five brothers, Roy, Ray, Glen, Everett and Paul Younger; and one sister, Josie Brinegar. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenneth Fisher officiating.Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
