Marene A. McKnight, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away at Community South Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born April 18, 1940, in Indianapolis, to Arthur J. Reifeis and Dorothea C. (Rucker) Ilg.

Marene was a high school graduate and of the Christian faith. She retired from the State of Indiana Auditors Office. She loved her animals and spending time with her family.

Surviving to cherish Marene's memory are her children, Shannon Kinney, Anthony (Lori) West, Carey McKnight, Kim Adams and Allison Dishman; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ronnie Reifeis and Michael Reifeis.

Marene was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services for Marene A. McKnight will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00am at the Beech Grove Cemetery in Bedford with Pastor Phil Thorne officiating.

Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford has been entrusted with Marene's care and arrangements.
