Mildred "Bernadine" Henderson of Williams, passed away on June 5, 2023, her 95th birthday. Born on June 5, 1928, she was the daughter of James and Raida (Howard) Verhines. She married Bill Henderson on December 7, 1941, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1971. Bernadine was a long-time member of New Life Church in Harrodsburg, IN and was retired from Crane NWSD. Surviving to cherish the memory of Bernadine is one son, Robert "Bob" Henderson (wife, Crystal) of Williams, IN; two daughters, Joann Hussein (husband, Aly) of South Carolina and Gloria Stewart (husband, Ron) of Mitchell, IN; son-in-law, Chris Amstutz of Williams; ten grandchildren (and spouses); 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Bernadine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven siblings; daughter, Sherry Amstutz; two infant sons; and two great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Reverend Jac Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Williams.
