Nettie Hughes, 96, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford.

Born on January 30, 1929, in Oolitic, IN, she was the daughter of Pete and Mabel (Humphrey) Stevens. She married Donald Sebright on October 22, 1949, in Angola, IN, and later married Don Hughes on September 11, 1978 in Bedford, Indiana. Above all  cherished her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her children, and grandchildren was unwavering. She loved the dogs she had over the years. Nettie was a loyal friend to many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her

Nettie is survived by her daughter, Cathy Sebright (Jerry) Brown; two granddaughters, Karmen Byers and Kristy Fountain; three great-grandchildren, Adrienne Anderson; Ella Fountain and Kaily Fountain; and two great- great-grandchildren, Layla and Thomas.

Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Mabel Stevens; her husband, Don Hughes; and six siblings.

In accordance with her wishes, no services were held. A private entombment was held at the Cresthaven Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
