Peggy Anita Burns age 89, of Shoals, passed away January 23, 2021 at the Loogootee Nursing Center. She was born January 4, 1932 in Evansville to Floyd and Estelle (Murray) Forston. She married U. Columbus Burns and he preceded her in death in 1976.Peggy was a housekeeper at the Sheraton Hotel and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her children, Shirley Jean (Bernard) Holt and Alice Jackie Terry; seventeen grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Patricia White, Richard Burns, Christine Lampson and an infant son; two grandchildren, Dawn Aslinger and Jimmy Lee Holt; and siblings, Dan Forston, David Forston and Joyce Forston. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Queen-Lee Chapel with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
