Ralph Lloyd Melvin, 67, of Bedford, passed away on March 18, 2022 at his residence in Bedford. Born October 23, 1954, he was the son of Lloyd E. and Lucille (DeArmond) Melvin. He married Charlotte Gregory on June 6, 1996 and she preceded him in death on October 28. 2021.Ralph worked for Sims Painting, was a veteran of the United States Army and served 14 years with the Army National Guard.Surviving Ralph is one sister, Cora Elkins; two brothers, Randy (Patty) Melvin and Ronnie (Vicki) Melvin; half-brother, Steve Meador; two half-sisters, Sherry Lewis and Kathy Dalquist; five stepchildren, Shawn Vincz, Camelot Wright, Godson Wright, Nina Suchanek, and Viking Wright; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Archie and Lloyd; and a sister, Delia.Funeral Services for Ralph Lloyd Melvin will be at 1:00pm Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.
