Obituary

Sally Anne Summerville

“

She thoroughly enjoyed cynical humor and sarcasm and was not afraid to speak her mind.

Sally Anne Summerville, 55, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away on October 27, 2026, in Bedford. Born in Bedford, Indiana, on February 8, 1971, she was the daughter of Larry Crulo and Phyllis Baker.

Sally was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School, Class of 1989. She earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University and dedicated her career to nursing as an emergency room (ER) registered nurse. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority at Indiana University.

Sally worked for over 25 years as an ER nurse at St. Francis Hospital and IU Health Bedford. She also spent some time as a school nurse for NLCS. Sally was an excellent nurse and a deeply compassionate soul. She thoroughly enjoyed cynical humor and sarcasm and was not afraid to speak her mind. She was quick-witted and endearingly quirky. She enjoyed sharing meals with her family and was a fantastic cook. Most of all, Sally loved her children more than anything. She took every opportunity to spend time with them and fiercely protected them.

She is survived by her son, Jacob Jackson; daughters, Sara Jackson (Aliza Templeton) and Addy Summerville; mother, Phyllis Baker; and sisters, Kelly (Rob) Mynett, Kathy (Scott Zipp) Crulo, and Karen (Jason) Webb.

Sally was preceded in death by her father, Larry Crulo.

Cremation was chosen, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
