Russell Eugene Moore

Russell Eugene Moore, 90, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born on February 13, 1931, he was the son of Earl Moore and Dorval (Butcher) Moore. He married Marilyn Elaine Parker on April 6, 1984 and she preceded him in death on November 20, 2005. Russell was a Handyman and he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Surviving Russell is his daughter, Ramona and husband Dale Swango of Bedford; two grandchildren, Robert Atkins of Jeffersonville and Brandy Atkins of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Chloe Atkins, both of Bedford; two brothers, Ralph and wife Sharon Moore of Bedford, and Raymond and wife Tona Moore of Bloomington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceding Russell in death are his wife, Marilyn; parents, Earl and Dorval Moore; along with his brothers and sisters, Wanda Moore, Bob Moore, Wilma Jean, and Richard Moore. Funeral services for Russell Eugene Moore will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Ed Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
